Salt Water Pools in Staten Island

Staten Island Inground pool owners seem to be following the the trend of converting or building their swimming pool with salt water systems. A salt watr system uses the salt to produce chlorine but seems to be easier to maintain, lower cost of salt sytems then chlorine and practically no orritation tothe eyes. Salt water pools contain only one-twelfth the salt of seawater, about a teaspoon per gallon, and as a result the pool water does not taste salty.

Staten Island pool builders are saying salt water systems pay for themselves by eliminating the need to buy buckets of chlorine, are much kinder to your skin, are friendly to the environment and require much less maintenance. A salt water chlorination system is an alternative to the harsh chemicals once considered an industry standard.
